| Pet owners rest assured that their pets are receiving thorough, caring treatment while also saving time and money that otherwise could have been spent in referrals to specialists for the same procedures. In the event that the care your pet requires is more specialized, our staff maintains good relationships with many veterinary specialists and facilities ensuring that your referral treatment goes smoothly. |

Our clinic is unique in that we are equipped with a full in-house laboratory. This enables us to perform our own complete blood testing, microscopic examinations, and bacteriology. With critical cases, the ability to have test results quickly may make the essential difference for some pets' survival. We also utilize Phoenix Lab in Seattle, and WSU Animal Diagnostic Lab in Pullman for more specialized testing and tissue pathology.
Cascade Veterinary Clinic is committed to offering advanced diagnostics and treatments. Our special procedures room is equipped with both ultrasound and endoscopy. Having these capabilities available allows us to treat your pet right here in Wenatchee rather than refer you to someone out of town.

| Endoscopy uses a long, fiber optic, light source camera to visualize areas of the body that would otherwise be impossible to see without surgery. The endoscopic procedures we perform allow less invasive means of tissue biopsy, foreign body removal, and direct visualization of the respiratory and digestive tracts. This often means less time under anesthesia for the animal and no surgical incision to recover from. |

Ultrasound uses sound to penetrate the body and its tissues. The reflected sound waves provide a detailed picture of the characteristics of the tissue being examined. This allows diagnosis of many problems that would otherwise require surgery. We also use it extensively for pregnancy diagnosis and litter size determination. One main advantage of ultrasound is that it most often does not require anesthesia, as does surgery.
In addition to OFA certification radiographs for hip and elbow conformation, we are certified to perform Penn Hip radiographs. This method is thought by many specialists to be more objective in determining hip function and forecasting the development of arthritis. For more information on this procedure visit www.pennhip.org
