Leah Edwards, DVM
Dr. Edwards grew up outside of Columbus, Ohio. She received a Bachelors of Science from Antioch College, a small liberal arts school in Yellow Springs, OH. She earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies and completed a one-year clinical training at Oregon State University. Leah worked in Oregon at an equine and small animal practice after graduation, then moved to eastern Tennessee working in Johnson City, TN and Boone, NC for the past seven years.
She has experience working in general practice and 24 hour emergency and critical care facilities for small animals and exotics. Through continuing education she has explored soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, ultrasound imaging, endoscopy dentistry, and reproduction. She also has certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from Colorado State University and a special interest in pet laser therapy. She is a member of the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with her husband, Seth, and their three dogs. Leah and Seth enjoy mountain biking, trail running, and skiing.
